The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Wage and Hour Division has provided details of the extended application of Davis-Bacon prevailing wage standards to various new markets included in the Biden Administration’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill. The DOL also is sponsoring two webinars on the subject set for Monday, February 28, and Tuesday, March 1, at 1:30 p.m. EST.
MCAA’s Government Affairs Committee anticipates the release in the very near future of a comprehensive set of proposed reforms that will streamline and improve Davis-Bacon administrative rules and procedures. In anticipation of that release, MCAA Government Affairs Committee Chairman Jim Gaffney is convening a task force of MCAA member firm Davis-Bacon compliance personnel to review the regulatory reforms and comment on them in the regulatory notice and comment period.
