Member Organizations

MCAA members fall into eight groups: Active Members, At Large Members, Honorary Members, Manufacturer/Supplier Members, International Active Members, Associate Members, Students, and Local Affiliates.

• Active Members are corporations, firms, and individuals regularly engaged in the mechanical contracting industry (e.g., heating, air conditioning, plumbing) and that  employ plumber and/or pipefitter labor. 

• At Large Members are companies that have their principal and all branch offices located outside the jurisdiction of any affiliated association. 

• Honorary Members are former active members or other individuals who have rendered exceptional service to MCAA, and who have been elected by the Board of Directors.

• Manufacturer/Supplier Council Members are corporations that supply products and services to mechanical contractors, HVAC, and plumbing businesses. 

• International Active Members are corporations, firms and individuals who are regularly engaged in the mechanical contracting industry that have offices outside of the United States. 

• MCAA Associate Members are companies like general contractors and electrical contractors who have a strong interest in MCAA but do not supply products or services to the industry.

• Student Members are college or university students focused on careers in the mechanical construction and service industry. They do not have to be affiliated with an MCAA student chapter.

• Local Affiliates are independent, local organizations that represent union mechanical contractors in a specific region of the country and that choose to affiliate with MCAA. Local affiliates are crucial for connecting contractors in any geographic area to national resources, including educational programs, safety initiatives, and industry advocacy.
