The job of plumbing contractors and plumbing engineers can be seen at times as adversarial. When performing plan and spec jobs, many times contractors and engineers are pitted against each other by the owner or general contractor. In design assist projects, communication and collaboration are essential.
This presentation, jointly sponsored by the the Plumbing Contractors Association and American Society of Plumbing Engineers, discusses strategies to successfully work together in a design assist project. It includes 3D modeling and data collaboration, design coordination, scope definitions, and understanding of each other’s demands and restraints.
