Geothermal Heat Pump Systems with Matt Gregg

MCAA Webinar

When used on the right type of project, geothermal heat pump systems can be the most economical choice for buildings to supply heat. In this presentation, Matt Gregg discusses the basics of geothermal heat pump systems and how they have been used in real life case studies that he has worked on.

This webinar begins with design options and system types. Each of these systems has different design considerations that need to be factored in during construction.

After the basics of geothermal are discussed, Matt showcases two projects that he worked on as part of McKinstry Company in the Seattle area. The first is an open loop system that they did in Portland. The second example is a vertical closed loop project that was performed in Spokane.

Matt Gregg, PE, LEED AP, is a Sustainability Specilist at McKinstry Company in Seattle, Washington.
