Advanced Leadership Institute Committee

The ALI Committee advises on program content, reviews feedback, provides on-site facilitation, promotes ALI, and helps align it with MCAA goals, in partnership with UNC and MCAA leadership.

AEC Executive Leadership Initiative

ELI provides yearlong training for MCAA-affiliated association executives in management and labor relations. Participants must meet education requirements and are recognized with a badge credential at MCAA events.

Association Executives Council

The Association Executives Council (AEC) is made up of Executive Directors and senior staff from MCAA-affiliated associations, focused on industry education, nonprofit operations, and peer-to-peer leadership support.

Audit Committee

The Audit Committee oversees financial reporting, the annual audit, internal controls, and compliance with laws and regulations.

Budget Committee

The Budget Committee reviews and approves the annual corporate budget, ensuring effective allocation of the organization’s resources.

Career Development Committee

The Career Development Committee connects students with MCAA members, offering networking, education, and resources to explore careers in mechanical contracting and support future workforce needs.

Converge Committee

The Converge Committee plans and promotes the Converge event, enabling strategic one-on-one discussions between key decision-makers to explore innovation and strengthen industry partnerships.

Fabrication Committee

The Fabrication Committee promotes innovation, best practices, and collaboration to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and support professional growth in the mechanical fabrication sector.

Government Affairs Commitee

The Government Affairs Committee drives MCAA’s federal advocacy, shaping policy, building relationships with lawmakers, and promoting industry interests through strategic outreach and grassroots efforts.

Industrial Relations Council

The IRC is a 501(c)(5) labor organization promoting peaceful labor relations in the pipe trades through collective bargaining and arbitration. Sponsored by MCAA, the UA, and PHCC/UAC, the IRC helps prevent strikes and lockouts nationwide.

Industry Funds Committee

The Industry Funds Committee promotes best practices for using industry improvement funds, supporting impactful programs while ensuring strategic, legal, and effective use through education and peer sharing.

Innovative Technologies Committee

The Innovative Technologies Committee identifies, evaluates, and promotes emerging technologies to help MCAA members boost efficiency, improve project outcomes, and stay competitive in a rapidly evolving industry.

International Pipe Trades Joint Training Committee

The IPJTC creates and distributes training materials for UA apprentices and journeymen. MCAA appoints board representatives to support quality education and industry competitiveness in the pipe trades.

Management Methods Committee

The Management Methods Committee promotes best practices in finance, safety, HR, project management, and marketing to help contractors improve operations, boost performance, and drive long-term success.

MCAA Education Committee

The Education Committee develops MCAA’s educational programs, focusing on Convention content. Members shape sessions, host speakers, and gather feedback to ensure relevant, high-impact learning for all.

MSCA Education Committee

The MSCA Education Committee plans the Annual Education Conference, delivering resources on leadership, finance, safety, HR, and workforce issues to help service contractors grow and succeed.

MSCA Labor Relations Committee

The MSCA/UA Joint Labor Committee collaborates with UA counterparts on key issues like the National Service and Maintenance Agreement (NSMA), technician education, recruitment, and contract negotiations to strengthen labor relations and support contractor success.

MSCA Training Committee

The MSCA Training Committee develops, promotes, and teaches year-round Operational and Sales courses to help service contractors improve performance, boost profitability, and better serve customers.

NCPWB Standards Committee

The NCPWB Standards Committee reviews and maintains Welding Procedure Specifications (WPSs)/Brazing Procedure Specifications (BPSs) to ensure ASME compliance, resolve technical issues, and support safe, code-compliant welding practices for members.

NCPWB Technical Committee

The NCPWB Technical Committee resolves welding-related technical issues, discusses code activity, addresses chapter inquiries, and elects members to the Board.

Project Management Education Committee

This committee oversees MCAA’s national project management training programs, including Pre-IPM, IPM, and AIPM, ensuring high-quality education for current and future project managers.

Safety & Health Committee

The Safety & Health Committee promotes best practices by developing resources, hosting an annual conference, overseeing awards, and advocating for policies that protect workers and strengthen member competitiveness.

WebLEM Committee

The WebLEM Committee maintains and updates the LEM, researches labor units, and provides education to help MCAA members estimate plumbing and piping work accurately.

Women in the Mechanical Industry Committee

WiMI supports women in the mechanical industry through networking, education, mentoring, and career development, fostering connection, growth, and success across MCAA member companies.
